“Online Tuition – Standard tuition of $6,850 per semester is charged for 14 through 19 credit hours. One through 13 credit hours are charged at $500 per credit hour. For schedules over 19 credit hours, the charge is standard tuition plus the stated per-credit-hour charge for hours over 19.”

Now I ask you, could that be any clearer? I plan on attending 14-19 credits per semester. Probably in the 14-16 range. Today on the phone, the admissions adviser I’ve been emailing back and forth told me that he doesn’t know where I got the number $6,850 a semester or $54,800 for the full 8 semester degree, but he assured me up and down it’s $500 per credit hour set in stone. I ask you this what kind of newb says that when the website clearly states otherwise on multiple pages INCLUDING in the PDF 2006/2007 course catalog?

I got very angry with the guy and hadn’t had my lunch yet so I just said I’d do some research and get back to him. I sent him a very polite email quoting the website and asking more questions. If this guy can’t give me a good logical answer I’ll have to talk to someone else because I find it hard to believe that he’s right and multiple sources on their website is wrong.

On a side note I’m starting to understand the whole college pride thing. I didn’t have college pride in PSU where I went to college right out of high school because I felt like I didn’t want to go there, or any Oregon college. Devry on the other hand after reading all the review from Monster.com and other sites across the web including New York Times and other sources, Devry is the school of choice for many many reasons. I haven’t even started yet and I’m already proud that I’ll be going and getting my Bachelors there. So with that said, hello new LJ pic!
