I still haven’t slept and now Thrarr is online and we are discussing guild policy and how the Charter and guild structure should be setup. He’s got some crazy ideas and I’m bringing him back down to earth a bit to help create stability in the guild. I’m really friggin awake for not having slept. I’ve just been really on a roll entering content into the site.

Ok so I love this beautiful think called DotNetNuke. It’s truly amazing that people have actually opened the flood gates of OPEN SOURCE ASPX. I’ve setup MOST of the IronSerpents website and I must say it’s looking nice. Next thing really to do is learn how to skin. Well I’m going to start putting in some content. HERE goes!

So the Burning Bone Clan / Frostwolves merger that happened was not something that turned our right for myself and my brother’s play style. So Soriathus and Gnarsokar joined a friendly group of people called The Iron Serpents. I know the leadership of said guild from the Burning Bone days. Actually the leaders are the old council of elders from the Burning Bone after Freaka left minus Snaga (who never really wanted to be a leader but got dumped with it). After talking long with Thrarr he said he’d be thrilled if I took over creating a guild website and forums so I did. MySiteSpace is completely awesome. I got our domain registered, quarterly payments setup, DotNetNuke installed, unlimited email, and well… check out the link for list of features. Congratulations! You’re a totally normal person.
If you had a weblog, it’d probably be a great one! Why are you even taking this survey? You’re obviously completely normal. You probably look on weblogs with the same disdain shown by all people of your elite personal perfection, however, if you do like weblogs, I’m sure you have a damned good reason. Kudos to you for retaining some measure of sanity in this mixed-up, shook-up, fucked-up world. We thank you for taking time out of your busy normal life to look this survey over.

If you read back in the last 2 weeks worth of blogs I’ve ranted about how I dislike fake or disingenuous people. Well that’s because this one person keeps making me disappointed in him. Tonight I finally confronted him (who I will not mention by name), who has been so horribly fake recently it’s been making me sick. Funny thing is he doesn’t see what I’m talking about. He has no idea that he lies constantly, manipulates the truth, passes off what happens to others as his own, complains about what people do to him and does it to others, and makes up stories. On top of that he singled me out like I’ve got a problem and some how I’m jealous of him or some bullshit and points out that noone else recognizes this quality in him. What’s truly sad is noone other than me has the balls to come out and tell him. What’s even more depressing is it takes probably destroying our friendship for him to figure that out if he ever does. I can only hope for change to come of our discussion tonight and positive change in his life.

Every Valentine I’ve been with one woman or another who expected way too much from the day and regardless of what can be done, said, or bought could ever be good enough. This Valentine’s Day I’m single and I’m damn happy about it. No woman to bring me down or make me feel like I’m a horrible uncaring man, when of course the opposite is the truth. If you need one day to prove you love someone whatever day that is anniversary, valentine’s day, or anyone, then you probably don’t. You shouldn’t need a special occasion to feel special about someone or recognize someone feels special toward you.
So as I enjoy my after work, Tuesday evening glass of wine. I sit here a little contemplative, very relaxed, and quite cynical about this Hallmark Holiday. I swear I will never celebrate this day the way “normal people” do ever again, woman in my life or not.

Updated MySpace and LiveJournal with a new pic. This was from the Friday before last when I went out with Alex and company to Sweet Basil Thai. I got to the restaurant slightly before everyone else and sitting in the back private party room, what else to do other than take crappy digital photos of yourself with your phone cam? Well anyhow it turned out ok I guess, good enough for MySpace and LiveJournal anyhow and a lot better than other crappy recent pics of myself.

Got up today around 2:30 in the afternoon with an amazingly horrible hang-over. The funny thing was I didn’t even get drunk last night. I think it’s because I was dehydrated (from being sick), then drank, and didn’t drink water like I usually do. Ended up getting over to my bro’s close to 4:00 hung out for a while and played poker with him, Carrie, and Adam. Adam sucks at poker and needs to come over and play with us more. Grabbed some coffee on the way home, did some laundry, and listening to music while dealing with Obsidian staffing issues. All around a pretty blah day. But that’s my Sundays for you. I swear one of these Sundays I need to goto Bettie Ford’s.
Looking forward to a good week ahead filled with Flash and other fun stuff. Tuesday we are meeting with IKON working on the database integration for the document management system. SQL 4 th3 w1n!

Was originally planning on hooking up with Laura finally tonight, but she had a gig in Tualatin. I didn’t want to get in the way of work, even though she wasn’t working but rather a co-worker was and she was just providing support. Maybe we’ll just hit coffee tomorrow, who knows.
So I changed plans to met up with Sean, Scott, Dana (female friend of Scott), and Jason (pseudo family of Dana). Jason was very cool. Closer to Scott’s age (35) but also just like Scott, young at heart and loves to party. We ended up hitting Henry’s for dinner, then McFadden’s, then Dixie’s, then some other friggin club I can’t remember the name of, then finally hit the Boiler Room which as always was mucho fun. I really need to go to the Boiler Room more often and hang there the entire evening instead of just the final end of the night. Ended up swapping numbers with Jason and while he’s in town this week we will end up hanging with him again.

Simply put, I had a fantastic week. I’ve learned a lot about flash and have made 100% of the changes Rhonda requested to Lallo’s design. I cleaned up, lined up, and made every bit of the flash precise and consistent from page to page. On top of all that I created my first flash from scratch with the 2 logos merging together, taking elements of both and bringing them together while morphing them to make the new logo. It’s just plain amazing and for all those people who read my journal here’s a sneak peak. I still need to clean it up and make it a little cleaner and match the font/font spacing better, but with a little work on Monday it should be perfect.
