After spending the first few hours of my evening installing Windows Vista, I finally got in WOW. Upon entering I was presented with the evenings drama. Assin has decided to retire as rogue class captain. I’m really not sure if he’s a good fit for the guild anymore. It is up to him of course I think he’s always been a great member. Drama side, overall I am pleased with the direction that guild was going, and am looking forward to seeing our ranks tighten and hone skills. I think the overall demeanor of that guild this evening was much better than it’s been the last few nights.
I’d like to mention entire blog entry was typed using windows vista’s speech recognition software. I’m still getting used to it and at times it’s a little clunky but for the most part I can completely dictate what I want to say.

Windows Vista launches tonight at midnight and my dad and I are going to go. I of course will be doing that officer meeting tonight, but afterward and after some relaxing gaming at Ray’s place I plan on going to the launch event and grabbing a copy of Home Premium. I can’t wait! I probably won’t install it till tomorrow because when I get home after buying my copy I will jump on WoW and do WoW stuff, but who knows after taking care of some business I might start the install then goto bed.

And thus begins the cleansing! We’ve already removed several people, some people have left, and the list is starting to be formed. I’ve called an Emergency Officer Meeting for Monday night for us to go over the list and key guild issues. I want the guild to be purged and clean for the month of February.

So I’m pissed off with how sloppy half the guild is. How is it that with the core good members of the guild we can annihilate ZG the 2 days prior to BC, 2 days in a row with 40 different people. Then the 2 weeks after BC we can barely down the first 3 priests and wipe on trash and Bloodlord. There needs to be a massive cleansing of the guild and I’ve already started talks with the officers about it.

Stressed out about my computer Woes, the Guild, and most of all Work, I decided to take a mental health day. On top of it all I seriously cut my finger reaching into my travel bag and grabbing my razor with my pinky. Ouch, let me tell yah. A lot of blood. Going to relax today and de-stress.

So after fighting with things I’m going to have my card RMA’ed. It’s going to take a week and a half for the card to be shipped there, be processed, and be shipped back. Plus I need to stop by Fry’s and get a receipt. Bah how lame. I’m spending the evening editing WoWWiki and going through screenshots

Why oh why does my video card have to die now? Of all times for my video card to go out on me it has to be this coming weekend. We’ve spent almost 2 weeks now gearing up in Burning Crusade and I wanted to go back and annihilate some older 60 raid instances for the fun of it and fill in my spots on my kill page.
Well at least EVGA has awesome tech support and has already pre-approved an RMA based on a 5 minute phone call. I have to give them props, it’s the best, easiest, replacement I’ve ever received on a piece of hardware. I just hope that I’ll get my new card relatively soon. :-/

Went to the Developer Track of the Windows Vista, Office 2007, .NET 3.0 launch event today. The new features of the OS, Office, and .NET itself are amazing. The endless things I can learn about 3.0 are as vast as the changes to the OS of Vista. I’m inspired by this event to learn more and want to do more with my programming.
Mother fukin’ David Copperfield! All I gotta say is that it was an amazing show. Joe hooked me up with probably one of the best tickets in the house IMO. We couldn’t be any closer w/o screwing up the view of the stage. His act was mesmerizing and the grand finale was out of this world. Taking an audience member and evidence from the audience to Australia and coming back. Even as an Illusion, no doubt it was a piece of magic!

I can’t keep up. I log in and 3 groups invite me to instance. I’m starting to schedule the next day’s instance runs the night before. Today for example I went to do a farming run in HFC for Hoofy and ended up pissing off Skieter who thought “we think he sucks and won’t group with him” which is FAR from the truth. Everything worked out in the end but my first 30 minutes online were drama filled. /sigh When will the drama end and we have a nice balanced group of folks who like spending time with one another and everyone’s equally skilled? Unlike some of the newbs we still have (and no not talking about Skieter).
