So just as I’m feeling better with my whole bleeding out my butt issue, now I blow my knee out at a work function. On Friday, at work, during a Cinco De Mayo (spelling?) celebration, I blew my left knee out. I had to goto the hospital, got x-rays, and went home very painfully to endure 5 days in bed. Today I’m finally back at work although very tired. I have to put a lot of stress and energy into the right half of my body just to walk. This tires me out fast.

So to sum up how I’m feeling 85% of me is feeling better. I don’t feel “as” week today, my brain is at top shape (gotten some good code done so far today), but I’m pretty sure my “bottom half” if you know what I mean, still isn’t doing that great. Going to head over to Kerrie’s tonight and ease some of her anxiety and show her that “no, I’m not dying.”

More bad news on the health front. After 4+ liters of water yesterday I still had problems giving blood. 2 nurses and 3 attempts (finally finishing with my left hand) to finally fill a testube equivilant to 2 tablespoons of blood. We tried to fill a second one for a CBC (Complete Blood Count), but I had already collapsed by then and barely got any blood into the tube, maybe a teaspoon, probably more like half of one.
Sore and cracky I returned to work to only be called by the specialist and find out it will be the 17th till I get an intial pre-visit with him and finally the procedure done on June 1st. You’ve got to fucking kidding me. All while the blood loss continues, I’m feeling weaker and weaker, and I don’t know what to do.
And I leave you with what shall worry me for the next month.

Bleeding in the digestive tract is a symptom of a disease rather than a disease itself. Bleeding can occur as the result of a number of different conditions, some of which are life threatening. Most causes of bleeding are related to conditions that can be cured or controlled, such as ulcers or hemorrhoids. The cause of bleeding may not be serious, but locating the source of bleeding is important.

The appointment with the doctor went really well. I really like the guy, he knows what he’s doing. He helped rule our a lot of things, but there’s still posibilities of a lot of bad things this could be. He’s refered me to a gastroenterologist or whatever it’s called. I’ve called and tried to setup an appointment, we’ll see how long it will take to get in and get the procedure done. He also sent me to the lab to get blood drawn for several blood tests, but after being stuck in 2 arms and 2 hands, rupturing one vein in one hand and 3 different nurses including the “goddess of taking blood supervisor” I still was not able to get blood into a tube. They want me to super focus on hydration and come back tomorrow.
On a side note my new doctor did help me out with my sinus issue, he gave me some really good spray that actually works. It’s non-seroid based and has other stuff in it than just anti inflamitory. I think it along with Claratin will be a nice fix for my sinus issues. My nose cleared up right away and my throat is better too.
