Tonight was Jeremy’s birthday and for his birthday everyone got together for a Winterhawks game. This was my first live hockey experience and it was awesome. First period the opposing team scored. Second period, the Hawks scored. Finally, with 1:30 left in the game, an amazing shot by one of the Hawks flew right by the goal keeper; nothing but net. There was also an extra ticket so Kerrie came along and fun was had by all. Seems she loves Hockey a lot which isn’t something I ever knew about her before. I swear there’s so much I don’t know about her, but evert little bit is better than the last. After the game we went to Sherrie’s and hung out. I had an Oreo shake which is something I hadn’t had in a long long time.

Started work today at 6:00 in the morning finishing up converting the new PREMGRP site to iFrames. The day went really well but was fast paced all day. I finally left the office close to 6:00 and now at 11:30 I still have about 2 hours of work left of configuring our new phone system through Fonality.com. Yes Fonality… not Phonality! I guess the domain was taken or something or maybe it’s a play on words or some other retarded reasoning for bad spelling. /rant off

So I’m kinda bitchy because I’ve put all this work into the Iron Serpents website and forums and other than me and Thrarr, no one is talking on them. I’ll give it time, but I really would like to see the website get used. On a side note I’m almost done updating the new PREM site to use iFrame which completely owns. It’s going to run a lot better and smoother once I’m done.
Well time to farm some honor in the battlegrounds. I think I’m going to re-spec to Affliction/Destro Ruin. I’m really not seeing the improvement that demonology is bringing to my current build/play style. I mean the IMP is sure more powerful but 3/4 of the time I don’t even have him up. Plus I’m really enjoying the high nuke value of Soul Fire. I’ve already crit’ed for over 1K with it. Image when I have ruin!

So… interesting where we’ve come. Friends, enemies, pissed off at each other, friends, then girlfriend/boyfriend?!?! Yes that’s right, yesterday Kerrie and I finally decided that we need to stop fighting it and accept what we are for what we are. We’re going into it with no strings attached and no expectations, but we’ll see how it goes. Does this change my goals for the future? No! Does it change hers? No! Could maybe our goals inter-mingle some how? Maybe?!? Suffice to say we’ll be going out more TOGETHER, enjoying the town, concerts, theater, culture, nature, and things that honestly I’d miss out on if I was trying to do it single. Hell I’ll still be able to go out with friends like Alex, Tsipa, Breonna (when she moves up here), Brian/Jaz, and the PREM crew. Kerrie and I will also be able to enjoy going to Kells and other places like the Blue Monk and such together.
On a side note, Kerrie met my Mom today. They hit it off quite well and as usual my Mom shares stories with my girlfriends which she’s never shared with me or Ray about herself, her childhood, stories of when we were babies, or earlier years of her and Dad’s relationship. Hopefully some time next week when Dad gets back into town he and Mom can meet up with her. I vote Outback!

Finally finished last night the skinning of www.IronSerpents.com thanks to Kerrie’s design/graphics skills and my css/programming skills. There is still a few things I want to change about the forums like the forum icons, thread icons, post icons, etc, but other than that the skinning is complete. Kerrie also said she’d help re-do my quick and dirty version of the guild tabard.

Today is the big day where everyone from the “Couch Street Office” (PREM Group, Inc.) and “Pine Street Office” (Elliott Associates, Inc.) finally got “on the bus” together (both figuratively and literally), met each other, and started doing some team building. I’m really liking everyone from the Pine street office and really forced myself to talk to as many new people as possible, crack a lot of jokes, and let them know my role in the company and that IT means business and seriously wants to make everyone’s lives better and more productive. Everyone can’t wait till the big move and we all can start working under one roof.

Today I’m finally finishing some projects that have been hanging in the air. Today marks a week from when the move is going to be starting and that means I have one more week to prepare and line up everything that is going to have to get done DURING the move. I know I’m going to end up having to work this weekend and next weekend so I’m trying to relax as much as possible while getting out of the office at 5:00 PST at the latest.

Today have been writing SQL views all day and working with Rob getting the new document management system setup and going. It will be interesting seeing this thing come together and even post launch I definitely think that I will be spending a lot of time doing “profile” management and micro managing the system making sure everything is the actual way we want it.

Today just didn’t really go how I hoped it would. I spent half the day working on an Acrobat problem with a PDF Jacob made for a CD proposal that I ended up having to cut at 6:30 to be done for the day by 7:00. I’m home, I’ve got a beer, and I’m going to relax on my computer not thinking about work for the rest of the night.
Dad’s flying off to Miami, St. Martin, Miami, and back to Portland in one week. Good luck to him with the signing of stuff.

So I’ve officially mastered flash. I mean I haven’t mastered everything about it, but enough that I’ve now completely ripped apart the entire flash site, reorganized a lot of it, and made all the changes Rhonda gave me today in less than a day. I’m really happy with how much I’ve learned about flash and hope to do little flash projects more.
