Today Gnar, Grim, and I did UBRS. I was main healer and doing all the raid targeting/marking. Gnar was main tank. Grim was… well Mr. Stabby. Gnar did a FANTASTIC job tanking and even tanked the Beast with flying colors. Noone died on the raid except when a very upset rogue (who I guess didn’t see the drop he wanted of the beast) trained the raid and logged off right after (that’s when Grim joined us). There were 2 random deaths after that resulting from the #1 hardest pull on the raid jsut after the beast, but other than that it was super clean. Major props to my bro who handled tanking everything with flying colors including Drakk.

Ok can I just say Stratholme FTW?!?!? We seriously have trivialized Stratholme even more so than Scholomance (mainly because I don’t try fun crazy ass shit in Strath). We are also running it in about an hour. We aren’t quite good enough for a 45 min run yet but we are passing it easily in just around 1 hour. Hopefully tonight I might get in that UBRS pug to learn the instance.

We have now run 2 successful runs of Stratholme and I think we really do have it on farm status. Tomorrow and Sunday I want to run a few more just to lock in the fact that we have it down. Tomorrow I’m hoping to head to UBRS if anything just by myself to learn the instance.

On a side note, with the expansion coming up and it containing SOOOO much WC3 lore, I went ahead and picked up WC3 battlechest with the intent at playing through all of WC3 and the frozen throne. I’m really looking forward to it since I never finished WC3 and didn’t even play Frozen Throne.

Ok so issues resolved. Grim was having a bad night and to sum it up he resigned as recruitment officer because he just wants to be Rogue class captain. Baldun stepped up as recruitment officer which is nice because ht’e a total forum troll and I need someone in that position who’s going to keep up with the recruitment posts/process. All the same things were resolved. Hoping that tomorrow night we can really own Strathe and for the rest of the weekend do several Strathe runs to put it on farm status.

I hate dama. End of story. Last night we made an attempt at a 45-min baron run, were doing nicely and then we had a wipe. That’s ok I really didn’t expect it to be done in 45-min. So that we got used to the pull schedule of a 45-min run, we went ahead and still continued on that path. Unfortunately that meant that we wiped more often that we should have. It’s ok we were chocking it up to experience but then when returning from a wipe Grimrot (who survived the wipe with vanish) trained 3 ghouls at me causing another wipe. Now in vent all I said was “Dude don’t train them toward me, I’m not in combat”, he said “Vic, run”. Well I did try to run but could only run so far before I got into combat and then I knew I just wasn’t getting outta there alive. So another wipe was had but whatever I wasn’t upset, I didn’t even say anything. Then all of a sudden Grim goes off the handle and blows up about how I’m a dick and I he doesn’t want to be an officer anymore and logs off. I dunno man apparentlyhe had mentioned to everyone else before I got on that he was in a grumpy mood but wtf? Oh well. I just hate drama. At least Baldun and Boddler got their boots on the Strath run.

Baroness down with 35 minutes left. Spider down with 30 minutes left. Perfectly on schedule… wipe in the trapped room. Yes.. that sucked. As it turns out the warrior was a complete tool who hadn’t even done a Baron run before though he said he had before. I’m pretty sure he was a bought character. It’s sad how many there are these days in pugs. But at least we pressed on and completed the run and I got my Devout boots from Mekil the Pallid. Took the time to get good screenshots of the bosses after the wipe because we took our time after that point. Earlier in the day we did a compelte BRD run including Emporer and again got great screenshots (but forgot the General and we didn’t do some of the lower level bosses).

Stayed home and worked from home today. Wasn’t feeling 100% and didn’t feel up to leaving the house. All the same I think I got a TON of work done today. Finalized the templates for the 3 property portal types and banged out all the portals for all the properties. Then configured LDAP on all of them and some other key things. Now I’m just waiting on content so we can start really filling up the portals with good stuff.

Tonight I visited the Baron Rivendale for the first time. Though it was the most obnoxious group ever, we actually got him done. I learned quite a few things I didn’t know before about Stratholme Undead and looking forward to future runs with the guild. I didn’t get any drops though I was able to complete the kill baron quest for my +30 int +10 spi +10 sta staff. Still not sure whether I want to make that my main staff or stick with my Emperor +53 healing staff. We’ll see I guess.

Now that was a clean run. Start to finish, fast paced, clean pulls, clean CC, no deaths (well maybe 1 or 2 on boss fights). But overall it was a fantastic run. Yes it was a 7 man instead of your standard 5 man, but honestly it did show that we could pull it together and do a nice clean run. Now that people know the instance better I think it’s officially on farm status.

Yes… tonight we did a 10-man LBRS. The guild is just barely a month old and we are doing 10 mans. No, it’s not 10 man UBRS, but we are really close to completing a couple of keys for the guild so we can start doing UBRS. We did organize VERY VERY well and though it was quite messy in my opinion we has a lot of people who were there for the very first time so that explains he messiness. We had no wipes (well unless you count the puppy pulling 40 mobs to kil us at the Buiju drop down). Overall it was a good fight and lots of people got some cool gear.
