Enthusiasm

Every Valentine I’ve been with one woman or another who expected way too much from the day and regardless of what can be done, said, or bought could ever be good enough. This Valentine’s Day I’m single and I’m damn happy about it. No woman to bring me down or make me feel like I’m a horrible uncaring man, when of course the opposite is the truth. If you need one day to prove you love someone whatever day that is anniversary, valentine’s day, or anyone, then you probably don’t. You shouldn’t need a special occasion to feel special about someone or recognize someone feels special toward you.

So as I enjoy my after work, Tuesday evening glass of wine. I sit here a little contemplative, very relaxed, and quite cynical about this Hallmark Holiday. I swear I will never celebrate this day the way “normal people” do ever again, woman in my life or not.

To sum up the game, the Steelers shouldn’t have won, but did. I wouldn’t have minded a game where the Steelers dominated, but they didn’t. They sucked so bad in that game. They got lucky on 3 plays and barely even made first downs the entire rest of the game. It took them 19 minutes of game clock to score a first down and they didn’t get another till much later in the 2nd quarter. The Seahawks gave their all into the game, dominated, but where screwed over and over by the refs on bullshit calls that even Steelers fans say where bullshit. Sad sad day. I feel sorry most for the Seattle QB who was 100% during that game.

I now know how women feel when some nasty smelling guy comes over and dances near them. It doesn’t matter how hot he is, if he’s smells like nasty sweat then it’s just not sexy. Tonight I went to Aura and was having a damn good time. I even had like 4 pretty cool women dancing with me up on the stairs. Then all of a sudden this decently sexy black woman comes over with a jean skirt one and my nasal passages have never been more assaulted in my entire life. She smells like dirty nasty period plus a hint of sex. It was so bad I had to leave the entire area and I could smell it (as I’m sure everyone else could) who was anywhere near the stairs, even downstairs.

So ladies and germs, please not just for me but for the rest of mankind… just say YES to soap. Especially if you’re going out to a public place where people get hot and sweaty.

Small interesting world. Apparently from reading Laura’s LJ I come to find out she works for 92.3 Classic Rock. I found this out while browing her LJ and chatting with Gustav about my new iBall. So I told him that I have been talking back and forth with someone onling who works for 92.3 and asked him if it was an Entercom station (being just recently at the studio to get my iBall I thought I remembered it being one of the logos in the lobby)…

Gustav: Yes, the studio is right next to ours in the building. Who have you been talking with?

Gustav: Blonde Laura?
TheCyberVic: Yeah. Smokes, tyring to kick the habit. Likes alternative.
Gustav: Haha, aren’t we all…
TheCyberVic: Goes to a lot of concerts, A LOT of them
Gustav: Yeah, I see her almost every day. She’s cool.
…(talked about web development stuff)…
TheCyberVic: Well if you bump into Laura, tell her CyberVic says hi.

Small world huh?

I was randomly selected this week to win an iBall from Oregon Scientific from those people who got their perfect play lists played. It’s completely cool and something that is nice because I can plug it into my computer at home and it’s a remote speaker system up to 100 feet away (aka the gym and my bedroom). Also once I get my iPod I can use it as my base unit/charger. I of course thanked Gustav personally via AIM for my prize and after giving him some info like my address and SSN, they will have my iBall ready for pickup on Monday.

I ordered this yesterday and it should be here tomorrow or Friday. Very cool, I’ve been wanting something unique and I think this just about hits the spot. I also ordered a replacement cartridge for when it runs out. David D. recommends the space pens because they always write perfect and they are so unique they are usually by themselves able to spark conversation.

I’m in an odd mood. Maybe I want to go out and meet people. Maybe I’m just in the mood to have dinner out and enjoy a cup of coffee sitting on my laptop at the 24H Starbucks in Beaverton. I’m not sure but I do know I don’t want to be home right now. I’ve yet to find anything entertaining to do. All I do know is I’m hungry. After dinner I’ll probably feel better and hit Starbucks for a while. Maybe till midnight or possibly later.

EDIT: Feeling great after some good Italian food, chilling at Starbucks right now enjoying a 1% Venti Vanilla Latte. I got the comfiest chair in the place in the corner where I can sit, listen to my music, and people watch. MWUhahaha

I’m making sure to leave the office a little early so I catch all of my perfect playlist on my ride home. I’m rather excited to hear it, especially “These Things” from She Wants Revenge played on the air. All they have been playing is “Tear You Apart” which granted is a great song, but that band is so much more than just that song.

On a side note, I introduced myself to someone very interesting on MySpace last night and have had a couple of conversations back and forth. She seems like someone I would like to get to know better and enjoy some stimulating conversations at Starbucks.

After my fantastic haircut at HairM yesterday, I’ve been feeling pretty good. It was an amazing hair cut, great trim on my mustache and goatee, and fantastic scalp/face massage. I’m ready for the weekend and brought in a bottle of Bailey’s today. I felt that we had a really stressful week and needed to begin celebrating what we’ve gotten done. This weekend is starting off on a good start . Oh and Happy Friday the 13th!!!

I’m very impressed at the progress I’ve made recently. It’s amazing once you start to really truly analyze yourself, you break down the mental programming, realizing it’s false, and re-frame yourself. Once that process starts it’s almost like a snow ball effect. You start to see the impact in your life that the re-framing makes and then it just re-affirms what you’ve been saying to yourself and makes it more and more profound. Within the last 2 days I’ve had 5 random conversations with women in passing without even trying, it just came so naturally I didn’t even realize “hey I’m talking to a women naturally and she’s smiling and flirting with me” till after I had walked away. I’m proud of my progress, I’m finally not only getting it, but really on a deep subconscious level getting it to the point I’m getting unconscious competent results.
